Supercheap Hobbies presently provides a range of flat rate shipping options based on the number of items you purchase and the weight of those items. During checkout a number of delivery options will be made available to you depending on how our system categorises the final expected carton, plus your delivery location this includes Adelaide local courier and store pickup for customers that reside in South Australia. For other area’s we use either Australia Post, Couriers Please or Fastway Couriers, please understand these services operate Monday to Friday as a general rule.
If our system overestimates your shipping, we will refund any excess paid. For example, if our system or you the customer chooses a 3kg satchel and we can send your order in a smaller satchel we will refund the difference. The same applies if our system underestimates your shipping, we may contact you to request an extra payment.
If you choose to have your item sent in a padded envelope, this is an ordinary post service generally used for smaller items. This service is NOT insured, comes with no tracking number/details, and is used at the customers own risk. For tracking please select a different option
Please note: As we use a courier company for deliveries larger than a satchel, please ensure you provide a street address (NOT PO Box); Due to these items being sent by a courier, someone must be home to receive the item or a slip may be left instead.
Authority to Leave
If you would prefer for the delivery person to leave the parcel for you in your absence, please just put an authority to leave note (and your preferred location for the goodies to be left) in the "Order Comments" box in the Order Confirmation section during the checkout process. For examples "If no one is home please leave by the front door". Unfortunately, we cant guarantee that the person making the delivery will specifically follow the location instructions exactly but, delightfully, we have used this authority to leave many hundreds of times without any issues.
It is important to consider that if you give us authority to leave the consignment in your absence then we can no longer guarantee that you will receive your consignment, nor the other factors that can affect your parcel whilst it is sitting unattended - like theft, rain, heat, dirt, damage, etc. In this situation, we can only guarantee delivery and quality up to the point that the track and trace tells us the goods were left for you
Upon placing an order, you will be directed to the Shipping Method selection page, where you may select store pickup.
You will receive a confirmation email and SMS if a mobile number has been provided once your order is ready to collect. Please bring some photo ID so that we can verify we are handing over your order to the right person! High value orders may need to bring some further verification however this will be outlined in an email if required.
Receiving Your Order
When you receive your order, please follow these procedures:
Missing or Damaged Shipments
Please ensure that all boxes in your order are present, and, in a reasonable condition prior to signing for delivery. On occasion carriers may deliver orders over two different deliveries dependent on the size of the order. Please note that ground and air shipments can be assigned to separate trucks and may arrive at different times of the day.
If a package has been damaged in shipping and it is apparent when the package arrives at your door, please REFUSE the delivery, do not sign for boxes with exterior damage. This will immediately invalidate any insurance for ‘Damaged Goods’ and immediately becomes your property in its signed condition. If the box has been delivered without the driver obtaining your signature, contact the carrier before opening the package. If possible please take photos of the damaged packages. The carrier will need to inspect the box and verify any damage before a refund or replacement can occur, be sure to save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods as the carrier may wish to inspect them.
Please do not return ‘damaged in transit’ merchandise yourself. Please contact us and we will make arrangements for the collection of the damaged goods, and, organise replacement product to be shipped to you. Returning the goods yourself could also jeopardize your claim and keep you from receiving credit for the return
Not what you ordered?
We have checks in place to ensure you are sent the correct items. However, if by chance a mix up has occurred, please contact us via email or by phone, and we can organize to get the correct items to you. We will request you to send back the incorrectly shipped items, so if you hang on to the original shipping packaging, it will make it quicker and easier. Postage will be on us!
PayPal Refunds and Cancelled Orders
From May 6, 2019 PayPal will no longer be refunding the seller the fees from a transaction that is fully or partially refunded.
If an order is cancelled for any reason, your refund will be less the PayPal seller transaction fee. This fee is a percentage of total plus a set transaction fee. This amount can be found on the PayPal website www.paypal.com.au
Cancelled Orders & Returning Merchandise
This document provides you with the correct procedures for returning a product, your rights as a consumer and also governs the rules for these procedures. Please read them carefully and completely before purchasing goods from Supercheap Hobbies.
Submitting an order online is making a contract to purchase those items, if you choose to cancel your order after it has gone to processing a 20% restocking fee will be charged.
You may only return goods for a refund less 20% restocking fee and less shipping charges or request a refund within 5 business days of receiving your order providing all the guidelines set out in this document have been met.
When returning merchandise, please make sure these steps are taken:
