Supercheap Hobbies sends packages via Australian Post and certain Courier Companies. We do not COD goods.

The cost of shipping is separate from the purchase price and will not be refunded if you return your item for any reason. Only the purchase price of your goods will be refunded if returned in a resalable condition. Canceled orders / non faulty returned items will attract a restocking fee of 20%

Shipping is not always calculated correctly on larger items during checkout and we may need to contact you to vary this amount. Sometimes it is even over paid and we will give you a credit back via paypal

If you choose to have your item sent by DL envelope please bear in mind this is a plain envelope with no padding and has no method of tracking. If your item does not arrive we can not do anything about it

Shipping is calculated upon checkout and you are provided with a number of options to choose from that best suits you. We do not charge a standard shipping rate for orders as we believe profiteering from shipping is wrong.

Please allow 2-3 working days for your order to be processed (including express post) and a further 2 - 3 for delivered. Customers outside the metropolitan areas please note that it may take another 3-7 days for your delivery to arrive.

Unpacking your order carefully will make any returns or exchanges run smoother

Receiving Your Order - When you receive your order, please follow these procedures:

  1. Check that the correct goods have been sent to you.
  2. Carefully unpack and inspect all merchandise, taking care not to damage the original packaging.
  3. Do not throw away any of the original packaging materials, such as boxes, instructions, inserts, bags, etc., until you are satisfied with your order.
  4. Read all instruction manuals before installing, testing & using your goods.
  5. Enjoy your new product!

Canceled Orders & Returning Merchandise

This document provides you with the correct procedures for claiming your warranty, your rights as a consumer to return a product and also governs the rules for these procedures. Please read them carefully and completely before purchasing goods from Supercheap Hobbies or attempting to make a warranty claim.

Submitting an order online is making a contract to purchase those items, if you choose to cancel your order a 20% restocking fee will be charged.
You may only return goods for a refund less 20% restocking fee and less shipping charges or request a refund within 5 business days of receiving your order providing all of the guidelines set out in this document have been met.

When returning merchandise, please make sure these steps are taken:

  • Notify Supercheap Hobbies via phone or email.
  • Include a brief note explaining the reason for the return.
  • All returned items must be sent via prepaid shipping with the postage being paid by the customer. Returns sent COD shipping will be refused.
  • Credit will be given only for items that we physically receive and inspect. To avoid any complications, be sure that you insure your return shipment.
  • Returns must be in brand new, mint condition where possible, in the original, undamaged manufacturers packaging including all packaging materials.
  • If damage occurred during transit, please do not dispose of the packaging or item. Contact Supercheap Hobbies immediately.

All items returned without fault will incur a 20% re-stocking fee. This fee is not negotiable. Please choose your products carefully.

Restocking charges are catered for under ACCC guidelines. If you are unsure about an item contact Supercheap Hobbies (08) 8311 1151.

Faulty Goods Returned For Replacement, Repair or Credit

It is IMPORTANT to contact Supercheap Hobbies immediately if you believe that an item is defective in any way and you believe a warranty claim needs to be carried out. Please read through this document and our Conditions Of Use before making contact.

As more than 80% of all goods returned are found to be in working condition, we are forced to charge a minimum of $25.00AUD inc GST per hour (minimum one hour) for testing non-faulty goods.
The postage charge to return non-faulty goods back to the customer will not be the responsibility of Supercheap Hobbies and will be paid by the customer.

When returning merchandise, please make sure these steps are taken:

  2. Include a brief note with your item explaining the reason for the return.
  3. All returned items must be sent via prepaid shipping with the postage being paid by the customer. Returns sent COD shipping will be refused.

If parts are purchased from us and there is a fault during the warranty period that is attributable to a manufacturing defect, the parts maybe replaced, repaired or a credited.
Warranty does not cover damage to goods caused by customers such as:

  • Misuse or ill-treatment.
  • Not following the manual or the correct procedures.
  • Tampering with manufacturers internal components or original settings

Warranty Turnaround Time
Turnaround time for warranty claims largely depend on manufacturers or distributors response and availability of products. We will try our best to speed up the process.
Please understand the time involved for a warranty claim will include: the time it takes for you to send us the item, our time to test the item, shipping the item back to the supplier, supplier's own test and replacement/repair, and the shipping back to us then onto you, the customer.
On a estimate you can expect this process to take anywhere from 5 working days to more than Four weeks.
