Product Information

In honour of the Vietnam war veterans who used the full-scale version in active duty, Pro Boat have released the 1/25th scale PCF Mark I. PCF stands for Patrol Craft Fast which was also known as Swift Boats. The Pro Boat version is packed with scale detail and is engineered to deliver superb performance at your local lake, creek or pond.

The full-scale PCF boats used in the Vietnam War were developed by request of the US Navy and were 50-foot all aluminium. Used initially as a coastal patrol vessel the PCF later undertook missions that took them further inland along the many rivers and waterways of Vietnam. Designed for a crew of 6 the PCF could also carry in South Vietnamese forces, and SEAL teams for counter-insurgency operations, and block enemy arms and munitions.

The Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24” Swift Patrol Craft RTR is packed with so much scale detail that it does come with a stand in case you just wanted to display it as an accurate depiction of military history. This is no museum piece though. With two 390 brushed motors and aluminium heatsinks, the Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24” Swift Patrol Craft RTR is going to execute all the water missions you can throw with speed, precision and finesse. The submerged prop on this PCF reproduces the same driving characteristics of its full-scale origins. The onboard electronics are precisely controlled by a 40-amp EXC/RX 2-in-1 and take direction from the SLT3 Spektrum radio.

One of the stipulations of the US Navy to PCF builders was that it would have a small but powerful spotlight on board and so too does the Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24” Swift Patrol Craft RTR with LED lights fitted that can be controlled right from your transmitter. The list of other faithfully recreated scale features on the moulded ABS hull is lengthy. The bow is fitted with a .50 calibre gun while the transom also has a .50 calibre gun plus M60 machine guns fitted. There are light pods, rail chains, docking tyres, life rings and a flag. If you want to go next level with your scale accuracy there is an optional rotating machine gun turret that you can equip your Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24” Swift Patrol Craft RTR with but you will need servo and transmitter customisations made.

The accurate military scheme has been expertly painted onto your Pro Boat PCF Mark I 24” Swift Patrol Craft RTR adding additional scale realism. Set up in a ready-to-run format you just need to add your choice of 3S LiPo battery and you are ready to hit the water for your first mission!
