The 1987 Monaco GP was to be the first of six victories for Ayrton Senna around the famous street circuit. Despite qualifying behind the Williams of Nigel Mansell the yellow Lotus of Senna. Mansell led away from the start but had to retire on lap 30 with turbo problems and Senna cruised into the lead. Despite a pit stop for tyres he maintained this lead to the end of the race, emerging victorious over the Williams of Nelson Piquet. Not only was this the first victory for Ayrton round Monaco, but it was also the first victory for a car with active suspension. This beautiful Lotus 99T will be a colourful highlight to any single seat racing car collection.
